PROJECT: Climate Emergency – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to data collected  by GLOBUS, Climate Reality Campus Corps, and Warwick Global Sustainable Development Society, under PROJECT: Climate Emergency

Data Provided, Consent & Retention Period

By signing this petition, you (the “data subject”) are providing Climate Reality Campus Corps, GLOBUS Magazine, and GSD Society at the University of Warwick (“us”; the “data controllers”) with your name, email address, and University of Warwick ID number. By providing this data, you consent to us holding this information for a period of up to one year, for the sole purpose of administering and employing the results of the Climate Emergency Petition. After this period has expired, or as soon as possible before this date, your data will be erased permanently.

Purposes of Collection & Data Sharing

Your name only will be shared as part of the final petition document with the University Council at the University of Warwick. No other data will be shared with any parties.

In the unlikely event that further information is needed from you to enable us to use the results of the petition, we may contact you through the email address provided. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose.

Your university ID number will only be used to verify your identity. Your university ID number will not be used for any other process.

Data Storage, Processing & Security

Your data will be stored securely within the European Union, on digital cloud services. Your data will not be transferred outside of the European Union.

Your data will not be employed in any automated decision-making processes or profiling.

Your Rights

You have the right to request a full record of the data we hold regarding you, compatible with other systems for transfer, at any time. You have the right to correction of your data, and its partial or total erasure, at any time.
